Financial Services support the Group's strategy by focusing on trust, resilience, and capital generation. They partner with all areas of CommBank to provide specialist advice, support, and services in finance, audit, treasury, property, procurement, climate strategy, and investor relations.

The Group Audit and Assurance (GA&A) team are the internal audit function for the Group, providing independent assurance on risk management, controls, and governance processes.

GA&A is committed to digital innovation, using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in routine control testing and digital tools to improve the experience for employees. The next phase involves enabling continuous, data-driven assurance across the 3LoA.

The Wholesale Credit Risk Audit team focuses on credit risks within wholesale (IB&M and Business Banking). As a Senior Manager, you will provide objective assurance on credit risk management and work closely with the business audit teams.

You will add value through:

  • Delivering a professional and highly valued audit service to the business
  • Providing objective assurance on risk management to key customers to secure the financial wellbeing of the Bank's customers
  • Offering commercial insights as part of high-quality audit reports that can help customers in their business

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Executive Manager in making efficient decisions on the WCR portfolio
  • Informing the Executive Manager on the effectiveness and efficiency of the portfolio
  • Leading effective planning and delivery of audits from Planning, Fieldwork, Reporting, and closure
  • Serving as a credit subject matter expert, providing robust challenge to the second line and offering specialised credit risk insights
  • Leads management discussions, agrees factual accuracy and ratings with stakeholders, and supervises the audit team in preparing concise audit reports
  • Ensuring adherence to audit methodology and QA Program, including timely delivery of Quality Assurance file reviews and addressing feedback quickly
  • Creating and developing independent relationships within GA&A, the bank, and externally to enable effective knowledge sharing and collaboration
