About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Culinary Expert to join our team at Blakeney Lodge, a leading aged care provider in Tumut. As a key member of our Catering team, you will be responsible for preparing fresh and nutritious meals for our residents, while maintaining a high level of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals for residents, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences
  • Manage kitchen resources, including equipment and food supplies, within approved budgets
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to Aged Care quality standards
  • Supervise and support a team of catering assistants to ensure seamless meal service

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery, such as a Certificate III in Hospitality
  • Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate
  • Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness, and hygiene
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
