Job Description

The Senior Equity Risk Manager role is responsible for overseeing and analyzing equity products across exchanges, identifying opportunities to enhance market performance. Key responsibilities include managing derivative pricing models, Greeks and limit structures to mitigate trading risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equity & Derivatives Management
    • Manage and analyze equity and derivatives products across exchanges to ensure optimal performance.
    • Develop and implement strategies to minimize exposure to risk.
  • Option Pricing
    • Utilize advanced pricing models and Greeks to assess and manage risks associated with option trades.
    • Analyze market data to identify trends and patterns that may impact option pricing.
  • Operational Oversight
    • Supervise trading and settlement processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to compliance regulations.
    • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to trading and risk management.
  • Client Interaction
    • Address and resolve client issues promptly while maintaining high standards of communication and customer service.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to increase loyalty and retention.
  • Timely Decision-Making
    • Make critical decisions swiftly related to trading and risk management, ensuring timely responses to changing market conditions.
    • Analyze data and market trends to inform decision-making and optimize outcomes.
  • Algo Trading Compliance
    • Monitor algorithmic trading activities to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
    • Implement controls and procedures to prevent unauthorized access or manipulation of trading systems.
  • Risk Management
    • Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize exposure to market volatility.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with trading activities.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Stay informed about relevant regulations and industry developments to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
    • Participate in the development of policies and procedures related to regulatory compliance.
  • End-of-Day Transactions
    • Execute end-of-day backups for all transactions, trades and related activities to ensure accurate record-keeping and audit trails.
    • Verify and reconcile transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ban Script Management
    • Manage and understand scripts associated with trading bans to prevent unauthorized access or manipulation of trading systems.
    • Develop and implement procedures to monitor and control ban script activity.
  • OTR & PNC Transactions
    • Handle Order to Trade Ratio (OTR) and Persistant Noise Creators(PNC) transactions effectively to minimize exposure to market volatility.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with OTR and PNC transactions.
  • Trading API Utilization
    • Utilize trading APIs to enhance execution and integration processes, improving overall efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Develop and implement procedures to monitor and control trading API activity.
Qualifications:
  • Education
    • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field. Advanced certifications such as CFA or MBA are advantageous.
  • Experience
    • Possess 2-5 years of experience in financial markets, with a focus on equity, derivatives and option pricing.
  • Skills
    • Proficient in NSE/BSE products, option pricing models, communication, decision-making, algo trading compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Attributes
    • Display analytical, detail-oriented skills to manage pressure and make proactive decisions collaboratively.
