Equine Clinical Specialist Role

This is a key opportunity for a veterinary professional to make a significant impact in the delivery of high-quality equine care services. As an Equine Clinical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing clinical instruction to students on rotation and participating in the out-of-hours rotation for the ambulatory service.

The role requires a strong background in ambulatory practice, with the ability to instruct DVM students effectively. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality clinical treatment and care to equine clients in an ambulatory setting
  • Provide clinical instruction to veterinary students on rotation to the equine service
  • Participate in study groups, clinical rounds, and journal club to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in equine medicine
  • Evaluate patients and provide diagnoses and treatment plans as needed
  • Develop and implement effective patient care plans, taking into account the individual needs and circumstances of each client
Requirements:
  • Veterinary degree registrable in NSW
  • Experience in ambulatory practice
  • Ability to instruct DVM students effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team
