The Commercial Manager will be responsible for maintaining reconciliations for all balance sheet items on a monthly basis, processing monthly journals including payroll journals, and forecasting P&L and Balance Sheet on a monthly basis.
They will also review all expense items for correct coding and strategic analysis on a monthly basis, identify and correct any general ledger check sums errors, and maintain Asset and FBT Registers.
Additionally, the Commercial Manager will be responsible for reviewing and approving sales invoices, maintaining WIP reviews, and overseeing debtor control, including reviewing current and outstanding retail debtors, assessing and approving new credit applications, and escalating bad debts to a Debt Collection Agency.
They will also be responsible for overseeing and approving all 30-day creditors reconciliations, approving all 7-day creditors, and providing support to the Franchise Manager, maintaining Debtor Accounts, and processing all approved credits.
The Commercial Manager will also be responsible for reviewing and maintaining all contractual obligations, reviewing and approving all weekly sub-contractor payments, and reviewing and maintaining individual insurance documentation.
Furthermore, they will be responsible for overseeing monthly stocktaking, maintaining internal controls for stock management, and liaising with the Operations Manager on stock obsolescence.
The Commercial Manager will also be responsible for overseeing retail store stock stake, overseeing all new product container ordering and delivery, and invoicing and debtor control.
Additionally, they will be responsible for overseeing weekly payroll, including commissions, overtime, and leave entitlements, and reviewing new staff contracts/documentation, including new CV checks.
The Commercial Manager will also be responsible for maintaining staff employment records, signing off all employee termination agreements/payments, and preparing monthly payroll documentation for the CFO.
They will also be responsible for liaising with the General Manager and CFO on leasing arrangements, maintaining leasing payments, and responsible for maintenance of leasing properties.
Furthermore, the Commercial Manager will be responsible for liaising with the National IT Department on computer-related issues, maintaining computers and cabling for head office and all retail stores, and maintaining office equipment/supplies.
Additionally, they will be responsible for approving all printing of invoice books, plan books, business cards, and general items, liaising with the General Manager on sign writing and signage, and liaising with local electricians on lighting and electrical requirements.
The Commercial Manager will also be responsible for conducting quarterly Safety Committee meetings, conducting store OH&S audits, and responsible for fire equipment audits and maintenance.
Furthermore, they will be responsible for maintaining local company car fleet, including purchase, registration, servicing, upkeep, and disposal.
The Commercial Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager, Warehouse Manager, and Assistant Accountant to ensure the smooth operation of the business.
They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, and providing regular reports to the General Manager and CFO.
The Commercial Manager will be a key member of the management team and will be responsible for ensuring the financial and operational success of the business.
