Job Title: Girls Wrestling Head Coach

We are seeking a team-oriented professional to lead our Middle School girls wrestling program.

  • This is a highly visible and dynamic role that requires excellent leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for youth development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive coaching strategy that fosters the growth and success of student-athletes
  • Serve as a positive role model and mentor to student-athletes, promoting a culture of sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork
  • Recruit, select, manage, and evaluate assistant coaches
  • Oversee budget management, including planning, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with district policies and procedures
  • Foster partnerships with community organizations and local businesses to promote the program and support student-athletes
  • Supervise and conduct practices and competitions, emphasizing safety, sportsmanship, and fair play
  • Collaborate with the athletic director and building principal to develop and implement strategies for program improvement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Coaching, or related field
  • At least 3 years of head coaching experience in middle school wrestling or equivalent
  • NFHS Coaching Education certification
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations

Salary Range: $31,000 - $34,000 per year
