Job Overview

As a seasoned professional in electrical engineering, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing innovative solutions for customers. Your expertise in high-voltage power systems will enable you to provide detailed designs, develop specifications, and collaborate with other disciplines on design issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Plan and conduct professional engineering work on relevant aspects of EHV/HV Secondary Systems – strategic planning and conceptual design (Protection, SCADA, Communications, Data Networks, etc.).
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical support to Business Development, Tendering, and Operations as required, ensuring seamless execution of projects.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with in-house construction teams and clients to effectively deliver to client expectations.

Requirements:

  • Hold an Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent with at least 3 years' experience in design, integration & coordination, installation & commissioning of electrical systems and services for high voltage power systems.
  • Have a deep understanding of secondary system design from concept development through to detailed design, including experience in design-for-construction environment or utility/engineering consultancy design.
  • Possess strong computer skills and experience with Power System Protection and Automation software packages, equipment suppliers, and products.
  • Be proactive in continuous improvement of performance, deliverables, and efficiencies.
  • Embody a positive approach to safety.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple stakeholders and possess excellent relationship-building, problem-solving, commercial, and negotiation skills.
