Are you an exceptional engineer looking for a new challenge?

As Chief Engineer, you will oversee the Maintenance and Engineering functions to ensure the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our guests. This role leads the daily operations of the Engineering Team, ensuring all maintenance tasks and objectives are executed efficiently to maintain peak performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional advice and support services to the Director of Engineering to assist in meeting strategic goals.
  • Plan and carry out preventative maintenance throughout the property to maintain high standards for a positive guest experience.
  • Manage and control the Maintenance Request System and regularly analyze data to suggest improvements.
  • Delegate general repairs and maintenance tasks within the engineering team or contractors as required.
  • Champion resource management improvements and conservation efforts.
  • Conduct regular testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting etc. according to local Council and Fire Service regulations.
  • Liaise with Directors regarding contractor use, controlling expenditure, and ensuring work meets company and manufacturer specifications.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Engineer (preferred)
  • Proven experience as Chief Engineer/Facilities Manager or similar role
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems (Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical)
  • Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards related to facilities management
  • Body/Owners Corporation Experience
  • Strong project management skills
