Job Description

This role is permanent, full-time 76hrs/fortnight.

You must have the availability to work a rotating roster with shifts ranging from 7:30am 3:00pm.

You also have the availability to work alternating weekend shifts (both Saturday and Sunday).

About This Work Area

As Home Furnishing Commercial Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.

You will provide home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve peoples life at home.

You will demonstrate the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through your visual merchandising competence and display techniques in different store media and activity areas to distance us from the competition.

You will work with vitality to motivate people to visit the IKEA store more frequently.

You will secure the use of the store layout as a commercial tool to plan and implement commercial strategies throughout the store while creating a good overview and strong visual impact.

You will recruit, develop, and lead your team by encouraging open, constructive, and honest, two-way feedback.

Requirements

You should have a deep passion, curiosity, energy, and understanding of home furnishing and peoples everyday lives at home.

An ideal candidate would have a higher education qualification in visual merchandising or industrial design, and a solid background of working as a visual merchandiser.

You should have clear technical strengths, with experience working with SketchUp, AutoCAD, and/or Revit.

You should be a motivational leader who can engage people fully to reach set goals and generate growth and long-term profitability.

You should be confident in communicating, influencing, and coaching others and continually seek new opportunities to improve the way we work, and encourage your team to do so.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
