Northern Territory Senior Pharmacist Role

This position offers a unique opportunity for a senior pharmacist to work in a remote hospital setting, providing clinical services and leading a team of pharmacy professionals. The role involves dispensary management, clinical services, team supervision, education, and strategic input.
Key Responsibilities:- Dispensary Management: Oversee supply, PBS compliance, and system processes.
- Clinical Services: Deliver medication advice and reviews across wards (e.g. renal, oncology, paediatrics, emergency).
- Team Supervision: Lead, mentor, and manage clinical pharmacists and technicians.
- Education: Provide training to pharmacy staff and education to nursing/medical staff.
- Quality & Safety: Drive audits, reporting, medication safety and service improvements.
- Strategic Input: Represent the pharmacy in meetings, forums and hospital-wide initiatives.
The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar environment, with strong leadership and communication skills. They will be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and be flexible in managing competing demands, shifting priorities and shared responsibilities across clinical and dispensary services.
