Job Opportunity for Senior Pharmacist

We are seeking an experienced senior pharmacist to fill a locum position at our remote hospital in the Northern Territory.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Oversee dispensary operations, ensure PBS compliance, and implement system processes.
  • Clinical Services: Provide expert advice on medication management across various wards, including renal, oncology, paediatrics, and emergency departments.
  • Team Supervision: Mentor and manage clinical pharmacists and technicians, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism.
  • Education and Training: Deliver workshops and training sessions to pharmacy staff and provide education to nursing and medical teams on medication management best practices.
  • Quality Assurance: Drive quality improvement initiatives, conduct audits, and develop strategies to enhance patient safety and service delivery.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Represent the pharmacy department in meetings, forums, and hospital-wide initiatives, fostering collaboration and driving business growth.

Requirements:

  • Oncology, Haematology, Paediatrics, Renal, Vaccines, and outpatient specialist clinics.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Expertise in advising on complex regimes and medication safety.
