Senior Client Services Officer / Housing Case Officer — Northern Territory Government

Two fixed-term, full-time vacancies in the Big Rivers Region (Katherine):

  • Senior Client Services Officer (AO5) fixed to 20 May 2027
  • Housing Case Officer (AO5) fixed to 30 June 2026

Deliver high-quality public housing services and support to clients in the Big Rivers Region, including advice, referrals to support services and information relating to public housing programs and financial assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Senior Client Services Officer — manage public housing waitlists, profile clients and allocate properties to maximise housing provision and minimise rent loss; participate in issuing formal correspondence and accurately recording data on the Department's information system.
  • Housing Case Officer — undertake activities related to key reform agendas and priorities across remote and urban public housing portfolios with a primary focus on rent collection, rental arrears and debt management; provide quality support to urban and remote tenants; manage obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act and Housing Act; coordinate property inspections, rent collections and payment arrangements.
Qualifications / Capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, confidentially and effectively in a service delivery environment.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities to engage effectively and credibly with Aboriginal tenants, clients and stakeholders.
Remuneration and Benefits
  • Base pay range A$104,408.00/yr – A$109,514.00/yr
  • Remuneration package 12% superannuation, six weeks recreational leave, three weeks personal leave, up to 17.5% annual leave loading, 3 day paid shutdown over Christmas.
