The Conservation Management Specialist plays a key role in promoting sustainable and responsible game hunting practices within the Victorian region. This specialist works closely with stakeholders, including Victoria Police, Parks Victoria, Victorian Fisheries Authority, and Traditional Owner Corporations, to develop and implement effective conservation strategies.

This is an ongoing full-time position that requires flexibility. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and leading programs, projects, and processes aimed at educating hunters and industry professionals on best practices in game management.

Maintaining strong working relationships with community stakeholders and partner agencies is essential for this role. The Conservation Management Specialist will provide advice and educational services, making presentations at stakeholder meetings and attending relevant shows and exhibitions. Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgement, and the ability to assess situations and make informed decisions are crucial for success in this position.

As part of the team, the Conservation Management Specialist will work towards improving compliance with hunting laws and regulations, ultimately contributing to a child-safe organisation prioritising sustainability and responsibility.
