Job Title: Operational Management Specialist

 

As an Operational Management Specialist, you will play a vital role in leading and managing operational teams across the local area. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the financial, human resources, and performance management of staff, ensuring the safety, stability, and development of children and young people.

This position requires collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders, as well as direct supervision of Child Protection Team Managers and Practice Leaders. A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel are essential requirements, as is the ability to work additional hours, including evenings and early mornings, to ensure the wellbeing of children.

Understanding of Aboriginal culture and legislative, policy, and practice requirements relating to Aboriginal children, families, and communities is also required.

 

Key Accountabilities
  • Risk Assessment and Analysis: Identifies and analyzes patterns associated with risk assessment and exercises delegations competently and autonomously.
  • Case Planning Review and Case Management: Makes decisions in context of review and appeals and analyzes case management across the team and broader area.
  • Standardised Reporting: Has expertise in providing and interpreting standardised reports.
  • Reflective Practice: Promotes practice quality and consistency through practical solutions to time-management issues and supports managers to establish a reflective practice culture in their teams.
  • Collaboration: Provides expertise on best practice in collaboration, co-design, and program leadership.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Exchanges and promotes critical information across teams, programs, and practice to identify barriers and levers to positive outcomes for clients.

 

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically. They will be highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively, with a strong focus on delivering results.
