About the Role

The APAC Analytical Editorial Operations Head plays a pivotal role in spearheading content innovations and driving operational excellence. This role oversees the creation, maintenance, and delivery of high-quality Analytical content for the Asia-Pacific business.

Closely collaborate with the Global Head of Analytical Editorial Ops to galvanize the APAC Analytical Ed Ops team under a unified growth and operating framework. Ultimately drive improvements in operational efficiency, revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee daily workflows for digital and print Analytical content delivery, maintaining editorial product quality, accuracy, timeliness, and cost management across Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore.
  2. Collaborate with commercial stakeholders to create new global Analytical content opportunities, driving the customer experience forward. Regularly liaise with in-market teams to ensure content meets customer needs.
  3. Develop meaningful metrics and analytics within APAC, aligning with Global Editorial Operations targets.
  4. Execute automation and drive adoption of global tools and systems delivery, applying cutting-edge content management systems/architecture to streamline processes.
  5. Manage the budget to ensure meeting of targets, identifying and driving opportunities for savings. Engage in vendor management and contract negotiation to ensure value, working closely with the Global Procurement group to specify effective processes and standards.
  6. Establish and monitor objectives by providing regular feedback, coaching, training, and development. Be responsible for determining performance opportunity areas and for developing and executing course-correction plans.
  7. Execute on cross-functional coordination and support of global initiatives.

Requirements
  1. BA/BS required; Law Degree, MBA, other advanced degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience leading an Operations function or team, preferably in editorial/publishing/content management.
  3. Good business/commercial acumen; quantitative and analytical skills.
  4. Process-oriented (developing consistent processes, documenting best practices, etc.).
  5. Experience cross-collaborating across global regions and functions, preferably with experience with commercial/in-market/product teams; author management experience is a plus.
  6. Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills applicable to a wide audience. Able to synthesize relevant information for Global Editorial Operations and commercial leaders.
  7. Collaborative management style with ability to lead cross-functional, team-based, deadline-intensive strategic initiatives and delivery.
  8. Skilled in organization/project planning, time management, change management across multiple functional groups and departments, and delegation and prioritization skills.
  9. Good problem-solving experience, including identifying, researching, and coordinating resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex issues.
