About the Opportunity:

Marriott International, a leading global hospitality company, is seeking an experienced and professional Chief Engineer to manage property maintenance and improvements at The Westin Perth and Aloft Perth. This senior management role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain building safety, security, and asset protection
  • Manage budget, capital expenditure projects, and preventative maintenance
  • Develop and implement strategies to deliver exceptional guest experiences and maximize financial performance
  • Lead a team of trade and support staff, promoting a positive work environment and driving results

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Chief Engineer
  • Trade qualification(s) are essential; a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in hotel engineering and managing large-scale capex projects is preferred
  • Strong management and teamwork capabilities, with excellent communication and computer literacy skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a 'Can Do' attitude and high energy levels
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, building maintenance, and fire control systems; solid understanding of Workplace Health and Safety
