About the Opportunity

Pensione Hotel Perth, a leading hotel in Australia's Western region, is seeking an experienced Maintenance and Facility Supervisor to join their maintenance team.

As a key member of the hotel's operations team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of all facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and facility management, with experience working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, plus benefits such as flexible working hours, opportunities for career growth, and a comprehensive training program.

Job Description:

  • To assist the engineering team in maintaining the building and its surroundings at the highest standard possible, following all OH&S and AU standards.
  • To supervise maintenance contractors engaged via myBuildings / Irequest and ensure works are carried out to the highest standard possible while maintaining a safe environment for all stakeholders and property.
  • To identify areas of improvement within the hotel and carry out preventative maintenance plans that are put in place.
  • To render assistance when needed to other departments or their representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance and Repair: To carry out routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and minor alterations to maintain the hotel's high standards.
  2. Safety and Quality: To ensure that all maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently, adhering to hotel policies and procedures.
  3. Communication: To effectively communicate with colleagues, managers, and contractors to ensure seamless coordination of maintenance activities.
  4. Problem-Solving: To proactively identify and resolve maintenance-related issues promptly and professionally.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field (Facilities Management, Maintenance Engineering, etc.).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with WHS regulations and best practices.
