About the Role

Alex Hotel is seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team in Perth, WA. As a full-time Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our hotel facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained and operating efficiently to provide a comfortable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to identify and address issues before they escalate
  • Coordinate the repair and maintenance of hotel equipment, infrastructure, and building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and more
  • Manage and oversee trades and maintenance technicians, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within budget
  • Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies and materials to support maintenance operations
  • Collaborate with hotel management to identify and address any facility-related issues or concerns
  • Ensure the hotel facilities comply with all relevant health, safety, and building regulations
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and costs

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a hotel or hospitality maintenance management role
  • Knowledge of building systems such as My Buildings, strong technical skills with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to liaise with hotel management and guests
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks
  • Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and building regulations in the hospitality industry
