The role of a Residential Carer is to empower young people to achieve their goals and move towards autonomy.
Long-term accommodation is provided with a focus on education, training, and personal development programs.
Assisting residents in independent living skills, employment services, and healthy lifestyle choices is a key responsibility.
Case management and planning for complex issues including assessment, treatment plans, and progress reviews are also carried out.
A Residential Carer will also empower residents to achieve their individual goals and serve as a positive role model.
An experienced carer with knowledge of relevant legislation and the special needs of adolescents is required.
Providing trauma-informed care is essential in this role.
