At Colonial First State, we're seeking a skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring alignment and clarity throughout the project lifecycle by acting as a communication bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the creation of business cases by clearly articulating the scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across IT and business units to document and understand the current data architecture, including data sources, data flows, integrations, and storage systems.
  • Create data models, workflow diagrams, and process maps to clearly illustrate requirements and processes.
  • Collaborate with data architects, modellers, and engineers to design the target data model on Azure Databricks, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and identifying options to address business requirements and challenges.
  • Support risk and issue process by proactively identifying, reporting, and resolving risks and issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a related role with a strong focus on data architecture.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture principles, including data modelling, ETL processes, data governance, data quality, privacy, and security controls.
  • Understanding of various project life-cycle approaches, including waterfall, iterative, and agile, including techniques relevant to each.
  • Experience working in a large, complex technology environment and dealing with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of the Australian Superannuation and Retirement industry, business, and systems is desirable.
