Claims Management Position

This position involves managing a portfolio of Property Liability claims from start to finish, ensuring that best practices are followed efficiently and cost-effectively. As the Senior Claims Officer, you will provide technical assistance, advice and support to team members.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage claim files, ensuring timely and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Provide specialist advice on complex claims, leveraging analysis and experience for sound decision-making.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support team objectives.
  • Support professional growth of team members through training and mentoring.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, staying up-to-date with industry trends and legislative changes.
  • Handle sensitive or high-risk claims according to regulatory guidelines.

Required Skills:
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, business or insurance (desired)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing liability claims
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, supporting effective decision-making
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, enabling confident explanation of information and effective negotiations
  • Technical competence and knowledge of legislation, regulations and guidelines relevant to liability claims
