Software Technical Support Role

This position is with a leading energy management and automation specialist. The company supplies customers with safe, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions.

The team provides support to customers in the Industrial Automation business in Australia and New Zealand. This involves ensuring continued smooth operations for customers, troubleshooting and diagnosing faults in various areas, including SCADA verticals and products.

The role collaborates closely with other teams, focusing on the customer's end-to-end experience with the company. Key responsibilities include owning, investigating, and resolving complex software issues, proposing workarounds for customers, and contributing to digital self-help materials.

  • Owning and resolving complex software issues
  • Investigating and documenting activities and findings
  • Collaboration with colleagues in support centres and departments
  • Focusing on customer experience and technical resolutions
  • Managing customer experience through regular communication

To succeed in this role, you will need 2-4 years of experience in Application Support within an ASX top 100 business. Proficiency in working with software architecture, unit testing, and other aspects of the SDLC is required. A tertiary qualification in Engineering or Computer Science is also necessary, along with a working understanding of software and automation hardware communications and setup.
