Job Overview

We are seeking a Chief Academic Officer for our MSW(Q) program, accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA).

This role involves providing academic leadership and overseeing program development, ensuring compliance with AASW and TEQSA accreditation standards, driving curriculum enhancement, and managing academic staff across multiple campuses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Academic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight of the MSW(Q) program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure ongoing compliance with AASW and TEQSA accreditation standards, maintaining high-quality program delivery and stakeholder engagement.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with faculty members to develop and enhance the program's curriculum, incorporating best practices in social work education.
  • Staff Management: Lead and manage a team of academic staff across multiple campuses, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications & Experience
  • PhD in Social Work: Eligible for AASW membership, with a proven track record of academic leadership and expertise in social work education.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing and developing accredited programs, with a strong understanding of AASW standards and ASWEAS.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, including students, faculty, and external partners.
