Technical Operations Manager

A technical operations manager role is available to oversee maintenance activities across a fleet. The successful candidate will lead and support maintenance operations, ensuring that all scheduled and corrective maintenance is completed on time and to a high standard.

This position involves planning, preparing, and executing maintenance work lists, as well as monitoring and reporting on project progress, schedule adherence, and performance. The technical operations manager will ensure that all work meets required quality standards through inspections, approvals, and ISO-compliant procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and coordinating resources and contractors to meet project needs.
  • Effectively communicating goals, expectations, and updates to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Scheduling maintenance and project activities to ensure efficient task execution.
  • Promoting and enforcing strong environmental and safety practices in all work areas.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety practices, confined spaces, working at heights, energised systems, isolations, risk assessments, and Job Safety and Environment Analysis (JSEA). They will also be able to plan, organise, and work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment, including contractor management.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and analytical skills to generate clear reports.
  • Due to Security Clearance requirements, applicants must be an Australian Citizen eligible to obtain and uphold a Baseline Security Clearance.
  • Experience in project supervision, planning, and scheduling within the marine or maintenance industry.
  • Proficient in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for maintenance operations.
