Your RoleAs the Aviation Support Workshop Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our Components & Avionics Workshop, including specialised teams working in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Composites, Paint, and Avionics.
- Operational Management — Lead the operational performance of the Components & Avionics Workshop in Cairns, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation.
- Team Development — Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, promoting accountability, continuous learning, and collaboration.
- Business Acumen — Develop and manage workshop budgets, monitor performance metrics, and ensure profitable outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement — Act as a key point of contact for OEMs, regulatory bodies, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Experience — Min 5 years experience in managing aviation workshop operations (Components, Avionics, or related technical areas).
- Qualifications — Technical qualifications in aircraft systems/maintenance/avionics or related support trades.
- Compliance — Strong understanding of compliance requirements in regulated aviation environments (e.g., CASA, Part 145).
- Leadership — Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams or technical departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive operational excellence and business growth.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
