About the Role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with managers to provide high-level HR advice and support.
  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes, including drafting contracts and facilitating inductions.
  • Guide leaders through workforce planning, onboarding, probation reviews, and employee exits.
  • Provide timely advice on HR policies, procedures, employment legislation, and modern awards.
  • Monitor and report on key metrics such as performance reviews, absences, and probation periods.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate position descriptions and workforce planning documentation.
  • Manage return-to-work processes and injury claims in line with legal standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with learning and development specialists to deliver compliance training programs.
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives focused on retention, recognition, and professional growth.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, generate HR reports, and improve HR systems functionality.
  • Promote the use of HR tools across the organisation to streamline processes.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in human resources, business administration, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience in an HR generalist role.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an HR generalist role with demonstrated capability in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and legislation with the ability to interpret modern awards effectively.
  • Proven experience in analysing HR data and generating meaningful reports for decision-making purposes.
  • Hands-on experience using integrated HR information systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation delivery.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities under varied levels of workplace pressure while maintaining professionalism.
  • Strong influencing, coaching, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to support leaders effectively.
  • Demonstrated discretion, confidentiality, integrity, and sensitivity toward diversity and inclusion principles.
  • A collaborative working style with a focus on teamwork and achieving shared goals within the organisation.
