About the Role

As a Terminal Maintenance Electrical Tradesperson, you will report to the Supervisor Port Maintenance Execution at BMA Hay Point Terminal. Your responsibilities will include performing routine online, offline, and shutdown maintenance tasks on fixed plant and Port Infrastructure, as well as providing planning and technical input to ensure the safe delivery of department objectives.

The role is based in the Mackay Region at the BMA Hay Point Coal Terminal Site, working a 4/3 Day Roster. This is a great roster, and Mackay and surrounds offer excellent lifestyle opportunities and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with and consistently follow standards and procedures designed to enable safe and effective work every day
  • Complete allocated planned maintenance tasks
  • Undertake unplanned or breakdown maintenance tasks, including problem-solving, fault-finding, and diagnosis
  • Provide feedback to the maintenance supervisor on job progress
  • Undertake assigned improvement projects
  • Work with your team to a high level of accountability and build proactive relationships across all site teams

About You

  • To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant trade qualification - Electrical
  • Proven maintenance experience in Fixed Plant maintenance
  • Your active focus on safety, drive, and passion to improve will see you succeed in this role
  • Your people and communication skills are of the utmost importance, as well as your relationship skills when liaising, negotiating, and influencing a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Previous experience with 1SAP will be beneficial
  • The nature of the role requires you to be a forward thinker and focused on process discipline

Requirements

  • Current QLD Electrical Workers license
  • Current Electrical Switchboard and Resuscitation certificate
  • Current Driver's license
  • Ability to fault-find and interpret Electrical schematic drawings
  • Construction Industry Induction training (White card)
  • EI High Voltage Switching (Preferred)
  • Hazardous Area training (Preferred)
  • Electrical Fixed Plant or processing equipment experience (Preferred)
  • Experience with PLC, Citect, and autonomous equipment (Preferred)
  • Experience with SCADA (Preferred)
  • Ability to work shift and day only rosters (equal time)
  • Solid time management skills and ability to prioritise
