Job Overview

The Operations Manager role is a pivotal position within our organisation, responsible for delivering strategic and operational objectives.

  • Lead the day-to-day operations, including delivery plan management, freight movement coordination, workload optimization, resource forecasting, and oversight of the operations division.
  • Cultivate cross-functional collaboration to align operations with organisational goals.
  • Report on operational efficiency and quality standards.
  • Elevate workplace health and safety (WHS) guidelines, Chain of Responsibility, and National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) compliance.
  • Ensure timely reporting and investigation of incidents and hazards.
  • Maintain employee and team performance monitoring, providing coaching, training, and feedback for improvement.
  • Oversight of staffing plans, recruitment, and training initiatives.

This role demands an experienced leader who has successfully managed the operations of a transport and logistics business. The ideal candidate will be process-driven, willing to challenge and optimise processes, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
