About the Position:

We are seeking a senior finance leader to join our team in the newly created role of Senior Financial Manager. This position will lead the finance team, ensuring excellence in financial reporting, tax compliance, governance, and digital transformation.

As a key member of the finance leadership team, you will oversee all accounting and tax functions, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement. Reporting to the VP Finance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, supporting long-term growth, and embedding best-practice systems and processes.

  • Financial Reporting & Governance: Lead month-end and year-end reporting, statutory accounts, and audits; ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies; strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks.
  • Tax Management: Oversee all tax compliance (income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax); manage statutory lodgements; advise on planning, transactions, transfer pricing, and mergers and acquisitions; monitor risks and opportunities.
  • Internal Audit & Controls: Build and lead the internal audit framework; identify gaps, recommend improvements, and implement corrective actions.
  • Digital Transformation: Partner with the VP Finance in delivering the finance digital roadmap; drive automation, process optimisation, and adoption of modern finance systems.
  • Leadership: Develop and mentor a high-performing accounting and tax team; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Support: Provide financial insights, analysis, and strategic advice to the VP Finance and leadership team; support budgeting, forecasting, and transformation projects.

About You:

You are CA/CPA qualified with 10–15 years' senior finance experience, including at least five years in accounting and tax leadership. In addition, you bring:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and corporate tax legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading external audits, statutory reporting, and tax compliance.
  • Proven capability in designing and embedding internal audit or control frameworks.
  • Experience delivering digital transformation within finance functions.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Background in complex, multi-entity or multinational organisations
