Job Title: Operations Assistant

Southern Gulf NRM is seeking a highly skilled and organized operations assistant to support the efficient delivery of its work program.

Job Description:

The operations assistant will provide administrative support to staff, including answering telephone calls, data entry, records management, photocopying, office management, and vehicle maintenance and management.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist staff with day-to-day tasks such as mail handling, filing, and document management.
  • Undertake bookkeeping tasks including financial data entry, journaling, reconciliations, and preparation of routine financial reports.
  • Provide administrative support to the CEO and Board of Directors.
  • Manage and maintain Southern Gulf NRM's policy documents, including workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and records.
  • Organize meetings and events as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Essential:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and practices and experience in the application of a financial management package.
  • Knowledge and skills in the use of computers for business purposes, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
  • Good organizational and oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake a range of workplace administrative tasks.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

  • Rent assistance up to $5,200 per annum may be available.
  • Relocation Assistance Full or partial reimbursement of reasonable relocation expenses is available by agreement.
  • Leave Five weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading is available pro-rata.
  • Superannuation Payment of an amount equivalent to 12% of the employee's salary to an eligible fund of the employee's choice.
