Coal Testing Laboratory Supervisor Role

We are seeking a skilled leader to manage our on-site coal testing laboratory at Byerwen. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency while leading a team in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in monitoring and managing compliance with relevant health and safety regulations
  • Identify and report hazards, inspections, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Record, investigate, and report procedures
  • Demonstrate visible safety leadership
  • Complete incident investigations to identify root causes and adjust work practices accordingly
  • E nsure familiarity with and compliance to environmental authorities and operational plans
  • Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including employees, contractors, customers, suppliers, government agencies, neighbors, and the community
  • Manage procurement and freight of parts and services to ensure fixed plant and equipment operations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant competencies for light vehicle and laboratory equipment operation
  • Previous experience operating onsite laboratories
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including basic spreadsheets
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in all aspects of laboratory operations
