Culinary Support Assistant
About the Role:This position plays a vital role in supporting the operation of our kitchen and dining facilities. The Culinary Support Assistant will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, cooking meals as instructed by the lead cook, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Assist with meal preparation according to established recipes and instructions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Clean dishes, utensils, and equipment efficiently using manual and mechanical means
- Participate in maintaining inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to provide nutritious meals and snacks to students and staff seven days a week during school terms. This includes working flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, and being reliable and passionate about supporting young people's wellbeing through healthy food options.
