Job Title: Visitation Coordinator

This role requires strong communication and organisational skills to manage visit bookings, maintain accurate records, ensure confidentiality and provide information services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake the processing of visits bookings ensuring all visitors are approved.
  • Maintain computerised and hardcopy records of visitor details.
  • Ensure confidentiality of documentation handled and maintain a secure filing system.
  • Relay information regarding visits procedure at time of booking.
  • Confirm bookings on arrival of visitors.
  • Direct visitors as required.
  • Negotiate and confirm work priorities for work completion in consideration of team needs.
  • Answer queries from members of the public and relatives and friends of prisoners.
  • Provide information service relating to visit times, days, duration and frequency of visits.
  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with visitors.
  • Receive monies and approved items of prisoner property from external parties.
  • Liaise with intelligence, custodial and sentence management personnel in relation to individual prisoners.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities.
