Job Title: Executive Development PlannerAbout the Role

This is a crucial position in urban development and planning. We are seeking an individual with excellent communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and strong knowledge of planning legislation.

  • A university degree in urban and regional planning or related field is essential.
  • Good communication and report writing skills are vital for success.
  • A solid understanding of all relevant planning legislation is necessary.
  • Experience in the Land and Environment Court, including preparation of court-related documentation, is highly valued.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills are desirable.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex development proposals efficiently to deliver timely and high-quality assessments.
  • Prepare detailed planning reports for various forums, such as the Sydney Western Planning Panel and Council's Fairfield Local Planning Panel.
  • Represent the organization in the Land and Environment Court.
  • Lead and facilitate input into organizational planning policies and strategies.
Desirable Qualifications
  • A postgraduate qualification in urban and regional planning or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Experience in urban design and principles of architecture would be beneficial.
  • Leadership experience, including staff supervision and mentoring, would be valuable.
