Urban Water Services Planner

As a senior planner in our treatment planning team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing integrated urban water servicing and waterway management plans that meet the needs of our customers and communities.

The purpose of this role is to develop and implement strategies that optimize the performance of our assets and services, ensuring they are sustainable, resilient, and adaptable to changing circumstances.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing long-term strategies for water resource recovery, filtration plants, and Purified Recycled Water facilities.
  • Identifying opportunities to integrate across systems, resources, and services to optimize performance.
  • Forecasting infrastructure investment, resource needs, and managing emerging contaminants of concern.
  • Leading treatment plant capacity assessments and analyzing process data to address performance issues.
  • Driving innovative solutions to minimize our carbon footprint and promote sustainability.

Requirements for this role include:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Infrastructure Management, Planning, Science or a related discipline.
  • 10-15 years of experience in developing and managing integrated approaches to urban wastewater and water treatment and infrastructure planning.
  • Expert knowledge and experience of integrated and adaptive planning approaches, including scenario planning.
