We are seeking a Mining Engineer to develop medium to short-term mine designs and schedules for our operation. The successful candidate will monitor and report on production performance against plans and ensure compliance with safety, legislative, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to maximise operational productivity and equipment utilisation in schedules.
- Prepare and communicate site physicals for annual forecast processes.
- Provide detailed rolling forecasts and budgets for the operation.
- Communicate effectively with technical services, CHPP, maintenance, and mine operations personnel to deliver mid/long-term schedules.
- Assist and mentor other members of the technical services team as required.
- Ensure designs/schedules are compliant with the site SHMS and relevant legislation.
- Actively report hazards and incidents.
This position offers flexibility with an 8 and 6 roster. The role has the option to be residential or DIDO from Mackay and surrounds or FIFO out of Brisbane.
About YouYou will have experience in a similar role, ideally from within the resources sector.
- Demonstrated experience as a Mining Engineer is essential.
- Demonstrate experience in a mine operation.
- Proven site experience in mine scheduling and design, along with associated tasks.
- Competent user of Vulcan, Deswik, Spry.
- Demonstrated experience of contributing to Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Commitment to safety and the environment.
