Job Opportunity

The Role

As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and cost-effective management of our intermodal rail operations in South Australia.

Main Responsibilities

  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to relevant regulations and quality standards
  • Effectively allocate resources and manage drivers and subcontracting partners to optimize efficiency
  • Oversee scheduled maintenance activities and ongoing review of assets against schedule to ensure optimal performance
  • Deliver exceptional customer service offerings from the SA Intermodal Operations team
  • Conduct regular yard walks, spot checks on driver tasks including coupling checks, and oversee data compliance for tasks such as pre-start checks and fatigue management

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a supervisory role within rail transport operations
  • A strong commitment to safe working practices, understanding of COR and heavy vehicle compliance
  • Experience with transport management systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to develop and achieve operational and contractual key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • A self-motivated individual with the ability to lead and achieve outcomes
