Operations Supervisor Role Overview">

The Operations Supervisor is a critical position within our rail transport operations in South Australia. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for managing our intermodal rail operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and promoting a safety-first culture.

This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively allocate resources, manage drivers and subcontracting partners, and oversee scheduled maintenance activities. Your expertise will also play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

To succeed in this position, you will need prior experience in supervisory roles within rail transport operations. A deep understanding of safe working practices, COR requirements, and heavy vehicle compliance is essential. Additionally, proficiency in Transport Management Systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite will be beneficial in driving operational efficiency and achieving contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to Safety, COR, and Quality requirements.
  • Effectively allocate resources and manage drivers and subcontracting partners.
  • Oversee scheduled maintenance activities and review assets against schedule.
  • Ensure superior customer service offerings from the SA Intermodal Operations.
  • Conduct regular yard walks, spot checks on driver tasks, and oversee MT Data compliance.

  • Prior experience in supervisory roles within rail transport operations.
  • A strong regard for safe working practices and understanding of COR and Heavy Vehicle Compliance.
  • Experience with Transport Management Systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • The ability to develop and achieve operational and contractual KPIs.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
