Job Title: Software Packaging Specialist

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced software packaging specialist to provide ongoing support and drive high-quality solutions for our clients.

This role involves working with technical issues and problems related to customer infrastructure, developing an understanding of their environment and service requirements, and following established procedures to resolve enquiries, issues, or problems.

  • Works collaboratively with the support team on technical issues and problems related to customer infrastructure.
  • Develops a thorough understanding of customers' environments and service requirements to ensure successful delivery of services.
  • Follows established processes, recommends improvements, resolves enquiries, issues, or problems, and documents actions taken for continuous service improvement.
  • Takes ownership of identified issues, tries to understand the problem to find optimal solutions or temporary workarounds, escalates and/or gains support where necessary to resolve the problem.
  • Proactively takes responsibility for learning about current and new products, technologies to support daily business requirements.
  • Assists in the development and enhancement of relevant standards, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Contributes to Customer Service Improvement Plans where possible.
Requirements and Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in packaging software into MSI format.
  • 3+ years of experience in virtualisation packaging.
  • Advanced skills in App-V.
  • 2+ years of exposure in delivering package solutions into a XenApp environment.
  • 4+ years of experience integrating applications into enterprise deployment mechanisms.
  • Complete understanding of application packaging and deployment methodologies using Windows Installer technology.
  • Microsoft deployment methodologies for Windows operating system.
  • Powershell scripting.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for application virtualisation (AppV) and SCCM, Intune deployment.
  • Must hold current or reinstatable NV2 clearance.
