Job Description

Software Solutions Specialist is a key role that plays a vital part in ensuring customers receive high-quality software solutions. This involves packaging and repackaging software from discovery through to deployment support.

  • Effective management of software packaging for various projects and BAU tickets.
  • Active participation in project planning sessions to ensure timely delivery of high-quality services and outcomes.
  • Preparation and maintenance of detailed documentation for use by operational staff, as well as analysis of problems with packaging.
  • Utilization of enterprise-grade tools and processes to deliver high-quality services and outcomes to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of software packaging, from discovery to deployment.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for operational staff.
  • Identify and rectify issues related to software packaging.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Take ownership of technical aspects of solutions, including bid responses and product briefings.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the IT industry, preferably within an IT Managed Service Provider environment.
  • Approximately 3 years' experience in a similar Application Packaging role.
  • Exceptional knowledge of packaging tools such as InstallShield and PACE.
  • Strong understanding of Windows 10, Windows 11, and macOS operating systems.
  • Proficiency in endpoint management platforms including SCCM and Intune.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with MSIX packaging and deployment.
