About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Expert Guide Dog Mobility Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Guide Dog Services Team, you will play a vital role in assessing and training guide dogs based on International Guide Dog Federation guidelines.
Responsibilities- Assess and train guide dogs to ensure they meet the highest standards of excellence.
- Develop and deliver personalized guide dog client training programs, offering both in-centre and in-home support.
- Collaborate with our team to match guide dogs with clients, creating partnerships that foster independence and confidence.
- Stay current with the latest trends, techniques, and developments in guide dog training.
- Recognised IGDF qualification in Guide Dog Mobility.
- Deep understanding of Guide Dog Mobility theory and practices.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
