About the Role

Tandem Partners is partnering with Victoria Police to recruit a key HR leader for the People Services Division.

This is a pivotal role that involves leading the HR Services function, focusing on payroll delivery and compliance, and collaborating with the HR Leadership team to shape strategies that enhance HR Service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the HR Services function, with a focus on payroll delivery and compliance.
  • Develop and lead a large HR team, working on crucial projects, technology advancements, and the ongoing evolution of HR Services.
  • Collaborate with HR Leadership team peers and other department leads to shape and execute strategies that enhance HR Service delivery.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Extensive experience in leading Payroll, HR Systems, HR data, and HR Advisory functions in large-scale, complex operating environments.
  • A high degree of people management ability, with previous experience managing large teams in the successful delivery of key HR services.
  • The ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to determine technical and technology improvements required to better HR Service delivery.
  • Exposure to systems such as SAP and Oracle.
  • A willingness to drive new ideas while respecting the need for consistency at scale.
  • A sharp eye for detail and experience in ensuring attention to governance and regulatory requirements.
Additional Requirements
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo and successfully complete a National Security Clearance to the level required, in addition to pre-employment checks as outlined in the position description.
