Power Generation Specialist

Job Summary

This is a permanent part-time or full-time position that requires operating and maintaining power stations, landfill biogas extraction systems, and associated plant and equipment. The ideal candidate will be mechanically minded and able to work in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain engine(s), flare(s), and associated plant/equipment
  • Monitor and maintain LMS biogas systems and flares, including biogas field work
  • Start-up and shutdown of power station/generator module(s)
  • Complete daily readings, data entry, data analysis, and reports
  • Schedule servicing and maintenance of engine(s), flare(s), and associated plant/equipment
  • Complete safety risk assessments, JSEA's, and associated paperwork
  • Perform oil sampling and analysis of results
  • Maintain cleanliness in work area, including bioenergy facility, and well stations
  • Attend to call-outs promptly when on the roster
Requirements:
  • A team player with a great work ethic, shows initiative, resilient, and committed with strong communication skills
  • Upholds company values and culture
  • Holds a current Australian Drivers License
  • Intrastate travel will be required at times
  • Fitness for work to perform the job role safely and competently
  • Mechanical trade qualifications are desirable but not essential
