About This Role

Hoffmann Reed is pleased to assist the University in finding a highly skilled individual for the position of Director, Campus Development and Services. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead the Campus Development and Services team, overseeing the management of physical infrastructure, operations, and capital projects.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the Campus Development and Services team, overseeing the management of physical infrastructure, operations, and capital projects
  • Developing and implementing campus master plans, carbon management plans, and strategic asset management plans
  • Overseeing space planning, maintenance scheduling, and contractor coordination to optimise campus utilisation and services
  • Managing the five-year capital works program, overseeing projects valued up to $100 million
  • Collaborating with university leadership on strategic infrastructure initiatives aligned with the university's growth and sustainability goals
  • Ensuring the effective management of emergency response and security services
  • Fostering a safe, inclusive, and innovative work environment across the department

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in engineering, business, or a related discipline
  • Extensive management experience, particularly in leading a diverse department responsible for campus operations and infrastructure
  • Proven success in planning and delivering major capital projects and overseeing complex capital works programs
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of motivating teams and fostering a positive work environment
  • Excellent relationship management, consulting, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build credibility at the highest levels
  • Knowledge of asset management systems and technologies that support campus development
