Salary: The salary for this position is approximately $140,000 per annum, reflecting the experience required and the market rate for a commercial lawyer in Melbourne's CBD.

Job Description:

This role will provide advice and guidance on regulatory matters, ensuring compliance and advocating for best practice within the higher education sector.

As a key member of the in-house legal team, you will advise on, negotiate and draft agreements, policies and processes, providing legal and strategic support to internal clients and external parties across relevant portfolios.

You will develop relationships with key stakeholders and their teams, enhancing and maintaining template documents, liaising with external advisors, and providing training where required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years' PQE from a well-regarded commercial practice or in-house environment
  • Experience advising on regulatory issues, preferably within the higher education sector
  • Strong commercial focus and ability to navigate complex regulatory environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
