About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Strategic Initiatives Team as the Head of Strategic Development. This is a key role that will support the definition of our medium to long-term customer strategy, including defining our vision, principles, and targets for omni-channel experience, customer loyalty, and customer journeys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive business growth and expansion
  • Lead the development of customer strategy and customer experience initiatives
  • Collaborate with senior leaders across the business to drive commercially viable initiatives
  • Provide thought leadership and challenge to develop well-thought-through initiatives
  • Work closely with the Director of Strategic Development to define and deliver strategic initiatives
Requirements
  • Proven experience in marketing, customer, and/or retail environments
  • Digital experience is essential, with a strong understanding of customer journey mapping and customer experience design
  • Strong customer strategy experience and longer-term planning (3+ years out)
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and drive commercial growth and expansion opportunities
  • Excellent collaboration and co-creation skills, with the ability to work within a team and matrix structure
  • Obsession with new trends and forward thinking around what customers of tomorrow need
  • Ability to effectively use customer insight to drive strategy
  • Highly commercial and diligent in the development of business cases
  • Strong influencing skills at senior management levels, with the ability to identify, understand, and communicate complex ideas
  • Experience within a large, fast-paced agile environment
  • Self-starting and organized
