Full-Time Composite Technician Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-Time Composite Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, offering a supportive environment, opportunities for skill development and career progression.

  • This role involves performing composite manufacturing using wet lay-up and chopper gun techniques.
  • You will be responsible for developing and preparing plugs, patterns, and moulds.
  • Maintenance and repair of production moulds is also an essential part of this job.
  • The successful candidate will work on a range of custom and commercial composite projects.
  • A clean, safe, and efficient work environment is expected to be maintained at all times.

Requirements:

  • A Certificate III in Polymer Processing or at least 2 years of relevant industry experience is required.
  • Experience using a chopper gun is necessary.
  • Skill in plug and pattern making is essential.
  • Knowledge of mould preparation and repair is a must.
  • Vacuum infusion experience is desirable but not essential.
  • A Forklift licence or willingness to obtain is preferred but not essential.
  • Familiarity with safe handling of resins and composite materials is expected.
  • The ability to interpret basic drawings or templates is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or in a team are necessary skills for this role.
