About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Officer to join our team at Interrelate. As a Project Officer, you will play a key role in coordinating the Hunter & Mid North Coast Family Law Pathways Network project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate regular meetings, events, information days, and annual conferences for the Family Law Pathways Network.
  • Provide administrative and secretarial support services, including taking minutes of meetings, completing work plans, preparing reports, and obtaining updated budgets.
  • Build referral pathways and share information across family law services to ensure better outcomes for families within the family law system.
  • Coordinate the Hunter & Mid-North Coast FLPN steering committee.
Requirements
  • Minimum Certificate IV, Diploma, or Degree in social work, community services, psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in a not-for-profit community organization or other client service environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in administration and secretarial skills, including taking minutes and written communication.
  • Demonstrated experience in project and event management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of families who are experiencing separation or divorce.
  • Highly developed written and interpersonal communication skills, along with a demonstrated ability to network, liaise, and negotiate effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Highly developed organizational and time management skills, with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, unsupervised from required locations.
  • Current driver's license and right to work in Australia.
About You

You are passionate about working in a community services organization and have a knowledge and understanding of the family law system and the needs of families who are experiencing separation or divorce. You are comfortable viewing and listening to sensitive subject matters.

You have strong capabilities in project, event management, and administration skills, and good foundational skills in the use of technology and software applications, including the use of Zoom and Microsoft Teams. You have initiative and problem-solving capacity, you are organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You also have the ability to work flexible hours and work autonomously.
