About the Role

This dynamic position has a deep understanding of the creative sector and a strategic mindset to deliver innovative programs for the community. As Unit Manager, Creative Communities, you will be responsible for effectively managing resources, finances, reporting and staffing requirements to achieve department strategies.

You will lead and support a strong team of creative professionals, delivering a diverse portfolio of programs and creative disciplines. Oversight of project management processes and key projects is also part of your responsibilities.

Your work will require building and maintaining collaborative relationships with Departments across Council, the community and external stakeholders to contribute to vibrant and cohesive community.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the creative sector, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to balance the creative process and resource allocation to deliver exceptional cultural outcomes.

You will have strong relationship management skills with stakeholders, artists and staff, as well as experience in financial, project and people management. A commitment to the arts and its impact on community wellbeing, economic growth and social cohesion is essential.

What We Offer

A salary package including $122,788.90 + Super + Flexible Working benefits, with options for a 19 day month or 9 day fortnight roster. Our city offers a diverse and inclusive workplace culture, and we value diversity in all its forms.
