Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Creative Director of Design Experience to join our team at The Standard Hotel. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's aesthetic and quality expectations by coordinating design representation into physical form.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with management to ensure all spaces meet specified standards and public areas are visually appealing.
2. Work closely with housekeeping, engineering, and food & beverage teams to maintain consistent interior design standards.
3. Lead weekly property tours with department heads to report on projects impacting guest experience.
4. Assist in clear and accurate reporting of projects amongst departments on an ongoing basis.
5. Execute design-related projects, sourcing materials, prices, vendors, and budget maintenance.
6. Create instruction manuals for space maintenance as needed.
7. Schedule, follow up, and oversee outside vendor projects professionally.
8. Process and track Purchase Orders and check requests.
9. Coordinate furniture placement, landscaping, tools, and materials for the entire property.
10. Work with marketing teams to develop and execute physical and creative event setups.
11. Maintain organization and inventory of fixtures, furniture, and equipment assets on and off property.
12. Compile a checklist of public spaces and guest rooms for review with the Director of Design.
13. Coordinate on-site installations and communicate scheduled work with relevant departments.
14. Source new and replacement materials for projects locally or internationally.
15. Thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to project needs and expectations individually.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of previous interior design experience
- Degree in a design or art field required
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suites, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Sketchup, or comparable programs
- Effective communication of creative concepts and ideas with staff and management
- Highly organized with attention to detail while multi-tasking
- Ability to work alone or with a team positively
- Full understanding of Architecture and Interiors with a keen eye for Design.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
